Professional & General Training Courses

The professional training courses are aimed to providing relevant and intensive training to school leavers and professional in the industry, which will equip them for a professional career in the industry. 

 

The school will provide 2-year TEVETA Craft Certificate training courses for school leavers on the one hand and short courses for company employees and entrepreneurs that want to upgrade their skills. As the school is in the setting up phase, the goal is to offer as soon as possible the following courses:

Level 4 Craft Certificate in
Bricklaying and Masonry - 2 years

2 year School training with industry attachment – 30 month course.

Level 3 Certificate in
Electrical Technology - 1 year

2 year School training with industry attachment – 24-30 month course.

Solar Training

Basic Course, basics of PV and off-grid solar systems (5 Days).

Solar Advanced Training

Grid Connected Solar Systems (10 Day Course).

Solar Pro Training

Layout, sizing and management (10 Day Course)

Further courses can be designed on industry request.

 

For the near future the following course are in the planning:

 

2-year Craft Certificate in Carpentry (2 year School training with industry attachment plus 6 month final industry attachment) – 30 month course

 

2-year Craft Certificate in Plumbing and Metal Works (2 year School training with industry attachment plus 6 month final industry attachment) – 30 month course

In recognition of the vast talent that is out in the country, already working in the trades without formal documentation and talent, that needs a basic skilling to be introduced to the world of crafts and trades, the school will offer shorter courses (up to 6 month), and recognition of prior learning to

 

- Practicing, not formally documented, practitioners

- Vulnerable youth and groups

- Inmates

- General public
